Wines of Tasmania

Moores Hills seven hectare vineyard was planted in 1997 and produces wine with natural balance, perfect ripeness and fresh quality.

Husband-and-wife team Julian Allport and Fiona Weller purchased Moores Hill in 2008 and have since joined forces with co-owners Tim and Sheena High to produce a wide range of wine, from elegant Sparkling and cheeky Rosé to exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir .

Our signature wine is Riesling which has won numerous accolades over the years, but our Pinot Gris is the hero at the moment having recently been awarded 97 points and "Best of the Best" Other Whites in the in the 2021 Halliday Wine Companion Awards.

Simply put, Moores Hill wines rank highly on what matters most: all-round drinkability.

Tamar Valley

The site is an ideal location to plant grapes, 120m above sea level with good aspect, elevation and drainage.

Powered by the sun, the wines are made sustainably with solar panels on the roof of the winery since 2017. The winery collects all its own water from the roof, and all the winery waste is treated onsite.
