The Select Six
In case three’s not enough, or more variety is what you’re after, these six wines have been carefully chosen and are a great representation of the variety and quality of Tasmania’s best wine producers.
Bream Creek 2022 Riesling
A pristine Tasmanian Riesling, with delicate aromas of lemon juice, grapefruit pith and white flowers. The palate is intense, lemon, lime and ruby grapefruit flavours all featuring. Lovely chalky acidity extends the finish and provides a cleansing finale to this wine.
Delamere 2022 Flyleaf Pinot Noir
Flyleaf is a label within the Delamere brand dedicated to celebrating hand-picked fruit sourced from quality vineyards. 30% whole bunch with a wild yeast ferment, made in french barriques, the result is an elegance drop with ripe cherry and strawberry fruit notes, subtle earthiness, followed by toasted sweet spice.
Holm Oak 2023 Arneis
Tasmania’s only arneis, a grape variety from Piedment, Northern Italy. Honeysuckle, lychee and grapefruit characters on both the nose and palate, this lovely, classic style arneis has delicious flinty, slatey acidity and great concentration.
Holm Oak 2023 Pinot Gris
A gorgeous example of cool climate Gris, on the nose is pear and jasmine, while the palate continues with pear and stone fruit characters to form a beautifully complex wine with a fine acid line and enough weight from the wild barrel ferment.
Springvale 2019 Salute Sparkling
Fresh, jucy and delightful. Made from 69% Chardonnay, 24% Pinot Noir and 7% Pinot Meunier. 26 months on lees. Aromas of white florals overlay a palate of freshly cut granny smith apple and citrus to give a lovely zest. Fine, linear and well-balanced.
Two Tonne Wines 2023 Chardonnay
Exquisite and delicate notes of citrus, apple and gentle toasted oak. A smooth texture, subtle minerality and crisp finish. Beautifully balanced.
